      1. Put on gloves.<\/li>\n
      2. Clean the wound area with a saline solution.<\/li>\n
      3. Dry the skin around the wound with sterile gauze.<\/li>\n
      4. Apply a foam dressing so that the edge of the wound extends at least one inch.<\/li>\n
      5. If the dressing does not have an adhesive bezel, you may need to apply a secondary dressing or use wraps or tape to hold it in place.<\/li>\n
      6.
