The development of our ECG electrodes focuses on absolutely reliable function, user-friendliness, safety and comfort for the patient. Skintact® ECG electrodes guarantee reliable, safe but clean adhesive and protection against cross-infection.
All Skintact® ECG electrodes provide:
Adhesive-free peel-off aids that allow clean removal of the electrodes from the patient
Bags are easy to open by tearing; they can be resealed by folding them over after opening
Electrodes quickly and easily detached from the cover
Electrodes for short-term ECG significantly differ from those for long-term monitoring. Therefore, we have created a selection of conductive gels to meet the specific applications. These gels combine first-class response with reliable conduction quality with high skin-friendliness.
Aqua-Wet Gel
Our Aqua-Wet Gel ensures particularly fast signal pick-up at the start of the ECG, regardless of skin preparation. Skintact® ECG electrodes with Aqua-Wet Gel are the best choice for short-term applications.
Aqua-Tac Gel
Skintact® ECG electrodes with Aqua-Tac gel are used for both long-term and short-term applications. They can be removed from the skin without leaving any residue.
Aqua set gel
Our Aqua-Set Gel combines the advantages of liquid and solid gel. Its special formula guarantees excellent electrical absorption. The water content of Aqua-Set
Gel ensures rapid reduction of skin resistance.
Backing material
Skintact® ECG electrodes are available on four different carrier materials and in two different adhesive strengths. This allows them to adapt perfectly to the application.
PE foam
Demanding applications, such as in anesthesia, emergency medicine or stress tests, put the stability and reliability of the ECG electrode to the test. Carrier materials made of PE foam are impermeable to liquids and thus protect the sensor and Gel during an operation. The thin PE material allows maximum flexibility.
Tape
The skin-friendly, microporous tape adapts well to the contours of the body and thus increases wearing comfort. It also allows moisture to pass through. Skintact® ECG electrodes with microporous tape allow the skin to breathe and transpire – which is particularly important for long-term applications.
Soft Cloth Backing
Skintact® ECG electrodes made of soft cloth backing offer all the advantages of nonwoven electrodes, but with significantly increased elasticity. Thus, they adapt well to body movements. Electrodes made of soft cloth backing offer a high level of wearing comfort for long-term applications and adhere reliably even to active patients.
Clear Tape
The clear tape is transparent. The patient’s skin can therefore be observed during the entire wearing period. Clear tape reliably protects the sensor area against liquids but allows the skin to breathe through perforations.
All our Skintact® products are tested according to applicable standards, ensuring maximum safety and reliable performance.
Skintact® ECG electrodes comply with standard ANSI/AAMI EC12 for ECG electrodes, ISO 10993 for biocompatibility, and the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
